Bunny’s Bar & Grill finally got open in the Keg House at the west end of 13th Avenue (where Community Keg House used to be). They are neighbors to SIP Coffee Bar, Clay Squared to Infinity, the new Lyn-Lake Chiropractic Northeast, and more. Bunny’s St. Louis Park continues to be a neighborhood favorite in its 84th year. Co-owners Gary Rackner and Steve Koch say they are very happy to now be a part of the Northeast community. Gary is really happy since he and his wife Gini have lived Northeast for the better part of 10 years, so “the commute is great!” Customers are taking notice, Koch said, and business is building with mostly local clientele.
It’s a straight-ahead American middle-of-the-road/comfort-food menu. Many breakfast entrees to choose from, nine of which come with your choice of a free Bloody Mary, Screw Driver or juice of your choice. For lunch and dinner there’s a wide variety from flat breads and chicken wings to walleye, pasta and of course great burgers. Blue Line Specials every day start at 11:00 “until we run out,” meatloaf on Mondays, roast pork on Tuesdays, hot turkey on Wednesdays, lasagna on Thursday and hot roast beef on Fridays. An express lunch consisting of a bowl of soup plus half sandwich or a dinner salad with cheese, ham and smoked turkey can be had for $9.95 – eat in or to-go. There’s ample windows for a decent amount of outside light, making breakfast, lunch and dinner pleasant. Desserts are made with Sebastian Joe’s ice cream and the root beer floats feature Henry Weinhard’s. There are late night wing specials and complimentary late night taco bar. Sixteen TVs for watching sports, and a digital jukebox and old-fashioned popcorn machine. More at www.bunnysbarandgrill.com.
