HeightsNEXT, in partnership with Top Valu Liquor, is bringing back its Cheers for Beers fundraiser Friday, May 12, 6-9 pm at Murzyn Hall, 530 Mill St. NE. More than 35 breweries, cideries and wineries will help the event live up to its name. Nonalcoholic choices available, too. A DJ will provide music. There will also be food trucks on-site. NEMAA Night at Bauhaus Brew Labs: Anjee Mai Creations
Thursday, June 27, 5-7:30 pm. Join Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association NEMAA Night at Bauhaus Brew Labs, 1315 Tyler St. NE. The second in a series of art nights at Bauhaus Brew Labs welcomes NEMAA member and colored clay sculptor Anjee Mai Emerson to demo her whimsical monster figures. Participants will learn how to make their own monsters and be able to take home their creations, all while enjoying Bauhaus beer, mingling with other artists and art lovers, and catching up with the NEMAA board. Come meet Anjee Mai, and learn a new skill in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
This special event is part of “On the Haus,” Bauhaus Brew Labs’ program to support their wider community. $1 of every beer purchased will be donated to NEMAA to help fund the operational costs that make Art-A-Whirl possible. Indeed We Can: Feline Rescue
On Wednesday, April 3, 3-11 pm, Feline Rescue invites you to drink beer for a great cause at Indeed Brewing Company, 711 15th Ave. NE. Order a round or two, and wave your paws in the air knowing the evening’s net proceeds will be donated to Feline Rescue as part of the “Indeed We Can” charitable initiative. This is the fourth year Feline Rescue has been a beneficiary of “Indeed We Can,” and the event is one of the highest attended in the series.
Guests will enjoy cat-themed scratch-offs, door prizes, eats from Simply Steve’s food truck, and a slide show video loop about Feline Rescue and the work the organization does to give cats happy, healthy lives.
