The Cities of Blaine, Columbia Heights, Fridley, and Mounds View are co-sponsors of the Nineteenth Annual North Metro Home and Garden Show. This community event will be held Saturday, Feb. 4, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at the National Sports Center’s Sport Expo Center, located at 1740-105th Ave. NE, Blaine. There is no admission, and attendees are encouraged to bring in their photographs, plans, ideas, and discuss them with experts.
This years new feature: The Ugliest Room Contest. Residents in the sponsoring cities will be invited to submit one photo and a brief description of why they should win the prize of a $1,000 gift card. Voting by attendees will take place during show hours, and the winner will be announced at 2:30 that day. Regular features of the show include informative seminars, door prize drawings, and a Sponsors Treasure Hunt with a chance to win a $100 VISA gift card. There will also be a Kids Activity Center with fun crafts, and a face painter for the duration of the show.
