A cold night on cold concrete is no one’s idea of a great evening, yet this is the reality for many of our furry friends when they find themselves in an animal shelter. For all the love, safety and care they receive from the amazing staff in these shelters, the one thing they often lack is somewhere soft and warm to sleep. And this is where you come in. Come to the Columbia Heights Library with any fleeces, sweaters, blankets, fabric, etc. It’s time to make some pet beds to help our “furkids” stay happy and warm as they wait for that perfect family. Help them construct literal clouds of love for these little souls that bring so much joy and comfort. If you are unable to make it, you can still give a virtual hug to our little furry friends by dropping the materials off at the library anytime before the event. Saturday, Dec. 8, 1-3 pm, Columbia Heights Library, 3939 Central Ave. Info: HeightsNext.org.
