Northeast Minneapolis resident, Aldo Moroni is celebrating his 40th year as a professional fine artist by presenting a collection of 40 works of art. The exhibit will include ceramic wall sculptures that light up, a collection of free standing ceramic garden sculptures, and a very large ten foot long, four foot tall ceramic mountain scape populated with hundreds of small scale buildings. This work will be under construction throughout the show run. The mountain scape is titled, “The Wrath of Vanity.” Moroni will be on site between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday through Friday as he creates this massive work. The opening reception will be Wednesday, Jan. 25, 4-9 p.m. at the ChinDian Cafe, 1500 East Hennepin Ave. There will be courtesy appetizers and a cash bar. The exhibit will run from Wednesday, Jan. 25-Wednesday, Feb. 15. Monday-Thursday: 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m., and 4:30-8 p.m.; Friday: 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m., and 4:30-9 p.m.; Saturday: 5-9 p.m.; and Sunday: Closed.
Moroni will also have a one hour discussion with images of his 40 year experience in the art world, Wednesday, Feb. 8 from 2-3 p.m. And on Tuesday, Feb. 14 he will be hosting a Valentines singles night party (couples welcome too) from 5-9 p.m. Dinner reservations, call 612-676-1818.
