Being sustainable doesn’t have to be hard. Citizens for Sustainability and the City of St. Anthony are hosting a free open-house style event that is family-friendly and will include a number of environmental organizations hosting stations on all topic areas. Minneapolis is celebrating all 12 of its Sister Cities with free ice cream, music, multi-cultural entertainment and children’s activities at the Nicollet Island Pavilion, Sunday, July 22 from 1-5 pm. The entertainment includes a special program celebrating the 10th anniversary of the city’s relationship with Cuernavaca, Mexico. By following this science of connecting with our inner spiritual powers, we can achieve peace. Free food truck meals this summer
Minneapolis Public Schools Culinary and Wellness Services introduces their new food truck, Street Eats. The new truck will act as a mobile feeding site this summer, stopping at eight locations throughout the city to serve hot meals at no cost to youth 18 years and younger. These locations include park and recreation centers, apartment complexes, libraries, and more. No registration or sign-up is necessary, youth just show up at the right time when the truck is serving and eat. The truck will serve meals Monday-Friday, from June 11-August 17.
