As part of an ongoing film series, Studio LL4 is showing “Here We Come,” a movie about break-dance in East Germany. In the 1980s break-dance and hip-hop were everywhere, even being the so called Iron Curtain. Through archival footage and interviews with participants, “Here We Come” traces the development of the break-dance scene in the German Democratic Republic from small groups on street corners to government sanctioned cultural activity. But what happens when the wall comes down and Germany is unified? Come find out. The movie is free and begins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6 at Studio LL4 in the Casket Arts Building, 681 17th Ave NE.
