Plant Sale at CUMC

Community United Methodist Church of Columbia Heights will hold their annual plant sale May 7, from 9 am-5 pm, and May 8, from 9 am-1 pm. Patio containers, hanging baskets of several varieties and colors, also annuals and bedding plants, will all available to browse through and to purchase on-site or pre-order. Pierogi sales and raffles at St. Constantine

St. Constantine’s upcoming Pyrohy (Pierogi) sale dates before the winter break are: Fridays, Nov. 20, Dec. 4, 11, and 18 from 11 am-1 pm. Pyrohy sales are for take-out only. Pyrohy are filled with either potato or sauerkraut and priced at $10/dozen. Phone ahead orders can be placed each week by noon Tuesday, via e-mail at stconstantineucc@gmail.com or by leaving a message at 612-378-9833. Pick up on Friday using the parking lot entrance of the Parish Hall, 314 6th Ave. NE.

Fall raffle tickets are available for $2/each or a book of 12 for $20 through Dec. 11. Prizes include $50-$250 cash, wine baskets, gift cards, and Pyrohy. Northeast Minneapolis Iris Gardens Sale

All of the rhizomes they have left from their annual sale at the Arboretum will be buy one, get one free, and admission is free to attend this sale. African Violet Society fall display and sale

African Violet Society of Minnesota presents a fall display and sale, “The Magic of Autumn,” Friday Oct. 21, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., and Saturday Oct. 22, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at the Northtown Mall, 398 Northtown Drive NE, Blaine.  They will be adjacent to Best Buy.  The event is free and will have a lot of African Violets and other Gesneriads on display and on the sales tables. Plan now for your fall/wintering gardening needs and gather any supplies you need for cultivating your new plants and old favorites. There will also be an education table and growers on hand to answer questions. Antiquified’s Moon Hollow Event

Antiquified Antiques, 2430 California St. NE, will be hosting “Moon Hollow,” on Friday Sept. 30,  5-9 p.m. & Saturday Oct. 1, 11 a.m., a festive autumn evening event at the enchanted gingerbread house. Stroll around outdoors and in, while experiencing the music of years gone by.
