Community United Methodist Church of Columbia Heights will hold their annual plant sale May 7, from 9 am-5 pm, and May 8, from 9 am-1 pm. Patio containers, hanging baskets of several varieties and colors, also annuals and bedding plants, will all available to browse through and to purchase on-site or pre-order. Compost Distribution Event
Are your gardens hungry? Would you like to feed them some pure, healthy compost? Sunday, May 5, First Lutheran Church of Columbia Heights, 1555 40th Ave. NE, will host a compost distribution event celebrating their commitment to organics recycling and the health of their community. Come and get as many bags as you’d like from the church parking lot between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm. They will collect a freewill donation to cover the cost of bringing the compost in.
