NE Community Band concert
Picking up where they left off in March 2020, the Northeast Community Band will present their "March" concert Thursday, Oct. 21, at Elim Church, 685 13th Ave. NE. Director Tim Martin will give the downbeat for the concert, which consists entirely of marches, at 7 pm. Audience members are asked to be masked (as will the band) and vaccinated, and a list will be kept for contact tracing. The concert is free.

Elim Church, 685 13th Ave. NE, will host an outdoor Trunk-or-Treat Harvest Party on Sunday, Oct. 31, 5-9 pm in their parking lot. Everyone in the neighborhood is welcome. Trunk-or-Treating (candy/snacks), free hot cider and chili-to-go (as long as it lasts), games, live music. Visit www.elimchurch.com.

NECB holiday concert
The Northeast Community Band will present its free annual holiday concert Thursday, Dec. 9, 7 pm, at Elim Church, 685 13th Ave. NE. Enjoy new arrangements of old favorites, including Leroy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride." Audience members are asked to be masked and vaccinated, and a list will be kept for contact tracing. The band will raffle off a walnut and maple music stand custom-made by bass clarinetist and master woodworker Wilfred Hein. Raffle tickets will be sold at the concert.…

Free clothing for women and children
Free clothing for children and women will resume at Elim Church Kidz Klozet and The Unlimited. First Thursdays of the month from 9-11 am at Elim Church 685 13th Ave. NE. Use the Madison St. entrance. Contact Janice, 651-491-9273. Hope Avenue, which provides clothing for homeless men, has moved to 1229 Logan Ave. N. Their hours are 8 am-3 pm, Monday-Thursday.
