La Boulangerie Marguerite-NE will host a juried art show curated around the theme of nourishment. Located at 300 13th Ave. NE, the bakery and cafe invites visual artists' responses to the question, "What does it mean to nourish and be nourished?" Award-winning seed artist Elizabeth Schreiber is the guest juror. The show will open the first weekend in May, before Art-A-Whirl and hang for three months. Omega D.E.A.R.: Monthly children’s book reading
Join the Epsilon Rho Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated (a Black Greek Letter Organization) for story hour at the cafe. Grab a drink, snack and pull up a seat for this live reading from the rich literary tradition of African American authors. Third Saturday of each month, 1-2 pm, starting Saturday, May 17.
