The Nature in the City exhibit space, outdoor Nature Adventure Course and Fort Building area are free for all ages to explore! Winter Hiking 101
This conversational event featuring founder of @BrownPeopleCamping Ambreen Tariq will introduce the basics of winter hiking so that more people can benefit from being outdoors during Minnesota’s signature season. Paddle with a ranger: Minneapolis (heron rookery)
Get up close with a heron rookery (nesting birds may or may not be present), spot bald eagles, peregrine falcons and other wildlife as you kayak down the Mississippi River with a National Park Service ranger. Nature Art: pumpkin painting & pie
Friday, Oct. 25, 6:30-8 pm, Carl W. Kroening Nature Center, 4900 Mississippi Court. Come to Kroening Nature Center to paint a pumpkin and have a piece of pumpkin pie. This class is designed for adults with disabilities in partnership with Minneapolis Community Education ACCESS program.
