Reveal and Conceal: Encaustic Paintings and Sculptures
Kohlman & Pryor Gallery presents "Reveal and Conceal: Encaustic Paintings and Sculptures. Curated by gallery artist, Jodi Reeb, Reveal and Conceal is an exploration into encaustic (molten beeswax). Through paintings and sculptures, it delves into encaustic's potential, possibilities, and aesthetic concerns. Artists Helen Dannelly, Jeffrey Hirst, Jodi Reeb and Julie Snidle are represented. “Absence”
Kolman & Pryor Gallery presents a performance art, painting, and technology installation by its first Project Space grant recipient, James Holmberg. "Absence" includes six canvases that Holmberg painted, scraped off, washed with mineral spirits, and painted again 12 times, while he recorded the process on video.
