Friends of the Pierre Bottineau Library will hold a book sale on Saturday, June 10, 10 am-2 pm at the Pierre Bottineau Library, 55 Broadway St. NE. Hundreds of adult and children's fiction and nonfiction books (most $.50-$1) in hardcover and paperback as well as some vintage vinyl. "Blind date" books for sale, too. Items are withdrawn from the Hennepin County Library system or donated by the public. Funds raised will benefit the library. Join local authors Sherman Wick and Holly Day as they go over some of the basic techniques for doing local research, using local historical societies and your local library. Tom Ryther covered news and sports for 36 years after graduating from journalism school at the University of Missouri.
