Anoka County residents are invited to a free paper shredding and spring recycling event, sponsored by the Waste Reduction and Recycling Board and the Anoka County Lions, Saturday, April 24,  8 am-noon at 501 Pierce St., Anoka. Up to five boxes or bags of mixed paper, envelopes, and file folders are accepted. Paper clips and staples are fine, but no laminated, carbon paper, or 3-ring binders are accepted.
