Kohlman & Pryor exhibits during Art Attack
Art Attack, the Northrup King Building's fall open studio weekend, is back. Kohlman & Pryor, 1500 Jackson St. NE, Studio #315, will showcase works by gallery artists, Betsy Ruth Byers, Jil Evans, Kelly Jean Ohl, Jodi Reeb, Julie Snidle, and Cameron Zebrun, and guest artists, James Holmberg and Abby Mouw. A preview will be held Thursday, Nov. 4, 5-9 pm. Art Attack hours are Friday, Nov. 5, 5-10 pm; Saturday, Nov. 6, 12-8 pm; and Sunday, Nov. 7, 12-5 pm.

The Color Series: Part 5, Blue
Kolman & Pryor Gallery will present "The Color Series: Part 5, Blue," the fifth show in the gallery’s ongoing Color Series. The exhibition, which features work inspired by the color, blue, created by gallery artists, Betsy Ruth Byers, Jil Evans, Kelly Jean Ohl, Jodi Reeb, Julie Snidle, and Cameron Zebrun, opens Jan. 8, and runs through March 5, 2022. An artist reception will be held Saturday, Feb. 12, 7-9 pm during Northrup King Nights, a Northrup King Building open studio evening.

“Scaffold”
Kolman & Reeb Gallery presents Project Space grantee, Betsy Ruth Byers' new exhibition, "Scaffold". Project Space is an initiative launched by gallery co-founders Anita Sue Kolman and Patrick Pryor in 2021, to further support visual artists. "Scaffold" runs March 19-May 7, with a public opening reception on Saturday, March 19, 7-9 pm, Northrup King Building, 1500 Jackson St. NE, #395. The exhibition is a multi-sensory, multi-media manifestation of Byers’ alpine and equatorial glacial experiences and the global realities related to climate change.

Artistic Lichens
Kohlman & Reeb, 1500 Jackson St. NE , Studio 395, presents new work by encaustic artist, Julie Snidle. The motivation for the exhibition came to Snidle while she was attending an encaustic conference on Cape Cod. “I’d walk out onto a nearby seawall, which was comprised of gray boulders encrusted with bright, yellow-orange lichens, Xanthoria parientina,” she recalls. “I couldn’t stop looking at them. “Emergence” at Kohlman & Reeb
Kolman & Reeb Gallery presents its latest Project Space grantee exhibition, Emergence, showcasing a variety of artworks by Jodi Reeb. Jodi uses the gallery’s cement columns, wood floor, and ceiling beams in order to “push the sculptures off the walls and into the space and mimic nature." Color Finds Form
Kolman & Reeb Gallery welcomes emerging Minneapolis artist David Moore, Jr., to the gallery for an exhibition of his abstract paintings. The show, Color Finds Form, opens with an artist reception Thursday, Nov. 3, 6-9 pm. A reception will occur Saturday, Nov. 5, 4-7 pm. Moore will talk about his show on Thursday, Dec. 1, 7-8 pm. Light Tales by Jil Evans
The Kolman & Reeb Gallery will take patrons on an immersive exploration of light and shadow with its next Project Space grantee exhibition, Light Tales, by internationally known Minnesota artist, Jil Evans. Chris Rackley: Life as a Mall Brat
Artist Chris Rackley is a self-proclaimed "mall brat." On days when not in school, Rackley spent his time at the mall sketching, reading, and exploring. In an exhibit at Kohlman & Reeb, Rackley uses drawings, sculptures and an interactive video to explore his memories of a shopping mall in Duluth, Ga. “Contemplations in Patterns and Textures”
Using haptics and nonlanguage communication, with her show, "Contemplations in Patterns and Textures," Kelly Jean Ohl exhibits large intricately carved ceramic pieces that provide a unique sensory experience. The Big Tiny Show
Kolman & Reeb Gallery rings in 2024 by showcasing art created by more than 50 artists from across Minnesota with a juried group exhibition, The Big Tiny Show.
